What Is Covered Under Warranty

This warranty applies to all BOVON paint protection films (excluding accessories) and is valid only when the film is installed by a certified professional, BOVON offers a limited warranty of up to 10 years. The warranty period begins at the date of completed installation, with a valid proof of installation invoice required. Proper installation, use, and maintenance of the product are essential to retain warranty eligibility.

If properly installed and maintained, the following defects are considered acceptable warranty claims:

  • Cracking
  • Yellowing
  • Peeling
  • Delaminating
  • Degumming
  • Bubbling

All warranty claims are subject to review and approval by BOVON.

What Is Not Covered

The following conditions and damages are not covered under the BOVON warranty:

  • Pre-existing vehicle damage not identified and repaired before film installation, including: Scratches, scuffs, scrapes, stains, chips on the painted surface
  • Failure to follow BOVON’s care and maintenance guidelines, including: Exposure to physical abuse；Harsh chemicals, solvents, or thermal misuse
  • Damage from automatic car washes or inappropriate cleaning, such as: High-pressure nozzles, steam, buffing, or polishing；Use of improper tools or cleaning agents
  • Any damage caused by: Accidents, misapplication, mishandling, wear and tear, road debris, or intentional damage
  • Issues related to windshields (not covered under any circumstance)
  • Paint pulled during film removal
  • Improper storage, handling, or usage


Recommended Care Guidelines

To extend product longevity and maintain appearance, please follow these care instructions:

Do not wash the vehicle for at least 2–4 weeks after installation to allow proper curing

Hand washing is strongly recommended:

  • Use mild soap and soft, non-abrasive wash mitt
  • Dry with a clean, high-quality microfiber towel
  • Avoid spraying edges with high-pressure water, steam, or power washers
  • Do not wash the vehicle under direct sunlight
  • Promptly remove bugs, tar, oil, and road grime to prevent staining

Avoid automatic car washes and harsh cleaning methods

Avoid direct exposure to extreme heat or harsh chemicals

How to File a Warranty Claim

  • Contact the original installation provider or an authorized BOVON service center for inspection or repair.
  • Provide proof of installation and the roll number from the product interior packaging.
  • Visit our website at www.bovonusa.com to locate your nearest authorized dealer.
  • Download and complete the warranty claim form.

BOVON reserves the right to deny any claims that do not meet the criteria above or are otherwise excluded from coverage.

Warranty Conditions

  • This warranty is non-transferable and valid only for the original consumer.
  • It is void if the product is installed incorrectly, abused, or not maintained according to BOVON guidelines.
  • Warranty is limited to replacing defective film and reapplication labor.
  • Seller shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from product use or inability to use.
  • Warranty does not cover DIY installations or any application outside of authorized use.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary by state. This policy is valid only within the United States.

Durability Guidelines

Vertical Surfaces: Gloss / Matte Solid Colors Up to 6 Years; Metallic, Pearl, or Textured Up to 4 Years; Black / White Premium Series Up to 8 Years;

Horizontal Surfaces: Above types of BOVON Wrap Up to 2 Years

NOTE: Actual durability may vary depending on climate, installation quality, surface condition, driving environment, and maintenance. These are general guidelines only and do not constitute a warranty.

Factors That May Affect Durability

Durability may be compromised under the following conditions:

  • Application to non-OEM paint, or uncured/poorly bonded surfaces
  • Installation on glass, unpainted stainless steel, or low surface energy substrates (e.g., certain plastics, gel coat surfaces)
  • Exposure to water immersion, such as marine applications
  • Frequent rock chip abrasion in harsh driving environments
  • Mixing rolls from different batches, leading to potential color inconsistencies
  • Use of aggressive solvents, waxes, or unauthorized protective coatings

Limited Warranty （Color Wrapping Films）

BOVON warrants its Color Wrap Films to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of 2 years from the invoice date to the original purchaser, provided that:

  • The film is applied to OEM-painted surfaces
  • Installation is performed by a qualified professional
  • The product is stored, handled, and used in accordance with BOVON guidelines


Exclusions (Not Covered)

  • Paint or body damage
  • Labor or installation-related costs
    Premature aging due to misuse or external chemical treatment
  • Color fading caused by excessive UV exposure or aftercare products

Warranty Remedy

If a claim is approved within the warranty period, BOVON may:

  • Replace the affected material, or
  • Issue a credit or refund for the original purchase amount
  • In case of return, the defective material must be sent back upon request. BOVON will bear the return shipping cost if the issue is verified as product-related.

How to File a Claim

Email support@bovonusa.com with:

  • Order number and LOT number
  • Clear description + photo/video evidence of the issue
  • Installation conditions and usage info
  • Preferred resolution (refund or replacement)

Disclaimer

This limited warranty is the only express warranty provided by BOVON.

All other warranties—express or implied (including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose)—are expressly disclaimed.

The original purchaser assumes full responsibility for any damage, misuse, or unintended outcomes.
